Psychoeducational Assessments
A psychoeducational assessment helps identify how your child learns, thinks, and processes information. Whether your child is struggling academically, experiencing attention or executive functioning difficulties, or not reaching their full potential at school, an assessment can provide valuable answers.
The assessment explores your child's cognitive abilities, academic achievement, learning profile, attention, memory, and executive functioning. When appropriate, it can help identify learning disabilities, Attention-Deficit/Hyperactivity Disorder (ADHD), intellectual giftedness, or other factors affecting learning.
Following the assessment, you will receive a comprehensive report that clearly explains your child's strengths and areas of need, along with practical recommendations to support success at home, at school, and in everyday life.
Autism Assessments
If you've been wondering whether autism may help explain your child's experiences, a comprehensive autism assessment can provide clarity and direction.
Children experience and express autism in many different ways. Some may have challenges with social communication, friendships, flexibility, or sensory processing, while others may mask their differences or present more subtly.
My assessment process considers your child's developmental history, communication, social interactions, behaviour, and overall functioning using evidence-based assessment tools and clinical interviews. The goal is not simply to determine whether your child meets diagnostic criteria, but to develop a deeper understanding of how they experience the world and what supports will help them thrive.
Families receive a detailed report, diagnostic feedback (when appropriate), and individualized recommendations for home, school, and community supports.
Parent Consultation
Parenting can be both incredibly rewarding and incredibly challenging. Sometimes families simply need an opportunity to step back, better understand what is happening, and develop practical strategies that support positive change.
Parent consultation provides individualized guidance tailored to your family's unique needs. Together we explore your child's behaviour, development, emotions, and relationships while identifying strategies that strengthen connection, build resilience, and support healthy development.
Whether you are navigating behavioural concerns, emotional regulation, parenting challenges, or developmental differences, consultation is designed to provide compassionate support and practical tools you can confidently use in everyday life.
FSCD Services
I provide consultation and psychological services for families receiving support through Family Support for Children with Disabilities (FSCD).
Working collaboratively with families and multidisciplinary teams, I help identify meaningful goals and develop practical strategies that support children across home, school, and community environments.
My approach is family-centred, strengths-based, and individualized, recognizing that every child and family has unique needs. I strive to build collaborative relationships that empower parents while promoting each child's development, independence, and overall well-being.
